NAACP賞: Luther Vandrossが最多受賞

　3月6日、全米有色人種地位向上協会 (NAACP) 主催「第35回 NAACP Image Awards」がロサンゼルスのUniversal Amphitheatreで開催。映画部門は、作品賞に "The Fighting Temptations" が選ばれ、主演男優賞に "Radio" のCuba Gooding, Jr.、同女優賞に "Bringing Down the House" のQueen Latifahが受賞した。

　音楽部門は、Luther VandrossがMale Artist賞、及び "Dance With My Father" がMusic Video賞を含む最多受賞。New Artist賞に "American Idol" 勝者のRuben Studdardが選ばれた。

　Entertainer of the YearはBeyonce、Special AwardsはDave Matthews BandとT. D. Jakesに。Hall of Fame AwardはRay Charlesに贈られ、B.B. KingやStevie Wonder、Bonnie Raittが祝した。
